THE MOST ACCURATELY PERFORMED PAUL RODGERS TRIBUTE BAND AROUND
His melodic bluesy melody lines have been a life long enthusiasm from my early years involved with music.
I saw him recently at the Royal Albert Hall and his voice just gets better.
It was stunning.
The pics on the left are from the Weyfest 2009. We played to about 400 on the small stage it went so well we are back this year on the main stage.
Come and listen to some good wholesome blues/rock played with raw conviction.
You will not be disapointed!
WHAT THE TRIBUTE BAND DO
I’ve covered most of the albums through his career with tracks from the Free albums, Tons of Sobs, The Free Album, Fire and Water, Highway and Heartbreaker
with Kossoff, Kirk, Tetsu and Rabit. That amounts to the first set.
Then for the second set, on to Bad Co albums, Solo stuff, The Firm, The Law and finally Queen.
All in all this amounts to a pile of stunningly good material to choose from.
With two one hour sets this is not enough time to play all we have rehearsed, so come and see the
band more than once and you will not be disappointed.
This is a must see for the die hard Free, Bad Co fans.
The musicians involved are also fans so are really enjoying the music. Some of this material they must have soaked up in the past.
Some are ex names, which I could run another page on pedigree but neither they or I want to sell this on past conquests.
I decided to keep the band as a three piece so as to keep the sound more authentic. I may add keyboards for the later material but will see how it goes.
We have put a lot of effort into re-producing the original sound and try to be as accurate as we can. I have put countless hours into re-producing Rodgers phrasing.
We Hope You Enjoy Listening
